Japan on film

I’ve always thought life is best described as perfectly imperfect. A little messy, a little wonky, a little weird. Yet so unabashedly free.

Then I went to Japan and discovered they have a way of life that puts that into practice… wabi sabi.

Photographing with film throughout my life has taught me that sometimes the most cherished things in life are the ones that are left as they are. Captured for an instant and then forgotten about until you get your film developed. The moment is lived in, cherished. And then you discover it was never about capturing the most perfect photo… it’s about the feeling the photo gives you because you lived it fully.

Enjoy my messy little moments from my favorite place in the world.

xx
