ABOUT ME

Get to know me

Hi, I’m Mia!

On the outside, I’m an overly excited social butterfly who flits from one topic to another and oftentimes talks at decibels much too high. But at my core, I’m a total nerd who loves photography, fashion, and football—among many other obsessions like travel, animals, all things Japan, and my favorite saga of all time, the Lord of the Rings. I have a rescue chihuahua named Phineas and two cats named Gus & Olive.

First and foremost, I’m a performer. That’s how I see and interact with the world around me. From the time I was a little girl up until college, I was on a competitive dance team and did musical theater in high school—I’m constantly dancing and singing my way through life. The world is my stage. I love that I get to continue performing.

After a lifetime of watching my incredibly talented mom build her artistic photography career and assisting her with photoshoots, I dove into photography myself in college and eventually made a career out of it. I was equally as comfortable being behind the camera as I was being in front of it.

I studied documentary photography in Paris right after college graduation, roaming the streets building a portfolio based on Parisian life, and went on to have an amazing eight years of photographing clients and their special moments. It has been one of the great joys of my life to tell the stories of the people I meet with nothing but a collection of images.

In 2022, when my brother got drafted to the Detroit Lions, I took my photography and performance knowledge and cannonballed directly into the social media sphere. Shifting my focus towards sports/entertainment was a breath of fresh air and I am now the full-time social media manager for my brother and for our family’s motivational lifestyle brand, The House of Hutch.

My family has always placed immense importance on giving back. My mom would say to my siblings and I growing up that if any of us ever got to the point where we amass a platform… well, that platform means nothing if you don’t use it for good. At The House of Hutch, we share stories of the incredibly inspiring children we meet in the hospital who are battling a life-threatening illness or physical challenge and still have smiles on their faces. They are our Hutch Heroes. Read their stories here.

Through our work with children, I have developed a great sense of responsibility to help people who are lost and trying to navigate their way through life. My goal is continue creating art, spreading joy and love, and infusing whimsy and adventure into my everyday life as a living testament to others that life is what you make of it… all you have to do is choose positivity.

Whether it’s behind the camera photographing clients or my travels, passionately singing on stage, collaborating with brands, or simply exchanging stories with a stranger—you will get ALL of me. I am a very enthusiastic person and I throw everything into the present moment.

If you feel that I align with your values and are interested in working with me… I can’t wait to meet you :)

Peace and love always,

Mia
